HEI Schools Australia is here to support during COVID-19.

As a company providing Long Day Care and Kindergarten in Australia during the current COVID-19 Pandemic, HEI Schools understands the importance of putting into effect immediate changes that respond to the pandemic, and keep our children, educators and families safe.

HEI Schools recognises that providing high quality and safe environments for children during this pandemic has become a priority to maintain normal social links and learning opportunities.

HEI Schools has developed specific Policy and Practices that respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

HEI Schools has prioritised the health, education and protection of our team of educators, families, children and the general community.

HEI Schools Centres have well established and practised Infection Control Measures, cleaning schedules and COVID-19 specific training and practices that will support a safe environment and promote healthy practices with all staff and service users.

Our highly skilled education team are trained in COVID-19 specific cleaning requirements, and support children and families in practising social distancing and infection control strategies.

Our services provide and use hospital grade cleaners and disinfectants, has increased cleaning practices and provides hand sanitiser and shoe covers for all families and visitors to the service.

HEI Schools has suspended excursions and incursions until further notice in line with Government Guidelines.

HEI Schools has reopened centre tours, by appointment, during times that children are being cared for and educated on site.

HEI Schools maintains proper hygiene practices, such as effective hand washing, proper cough and sneezing etiquette and keeping social distance. These practices are vital to minimize the risks to you and your love ones.

Parents and families are asked to support our services during this challenging time to help keep our service safe and slow the spread.

  1. If children are unwell, or have a temperature of 38 ℃ or above, please keep them home to monitor them. HEI Schools will not be conducting specific temperature checks.

  2. If children are unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19, undergoing testing for COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone confirmed with COVID-19, please keep them home.

  3. Ensure outside shoes are removed or shoe covers worn indoors, sanitise hands prior to entering the centre and observe the drop off areas of the service during the pandemic.

HEI Schools has implemented many strategies to stay engaged with families, and learning opportunities are shared with families via email, Facebook and the HEI at Home website.  We encourage you to share video clips or photos with your child during this social distancing so that we can celebrate children’s learning in all the ways it is happening.
